9. Step 6: Installation/distribution

9.1 Process

When the number of sites to be installed is large, it's important not to neglect the installation and distribution of a software product. The quality assurance of these activities must then be exercised in time and space. The impact of managing 5, 10, 100 or more sites is not the same.

In addition, installation and distribution activities not only concern the initial implementation of the software system, but also need to be fully taken over and supported in the maintenance process (see step 7).
