4. On-site maintenance

4.1 General

The instructions given in the manufacturer's operating and maintenance manual must be scrupulously followed.

Before any work is started, access and manoeuvring bans must be placed on the controls. Remember that maintenance must be carried out by specialized personnel, i.e. the crane operator if he or she has been trained to do so, or by a trained millwright; maintenance must be carried out with the machine at a standstill.

Some operations require the equipment to be started up. At this point, the crane operator must be at his post and in constant contact with maintenance personnel.

Work on electrical cabinets requires specific authorization.
