9. Means of prevention
General precautions are as follows:
Verification every 12 months for GME cranes;
GMA cranes are checked every 6 months;
check that the equipment is in good working order by carrying out a thorough maintenance check every 5 years, recording all maintenance operations carried out in a special logbook.
To avoid risks due to the presence of other cranes:
seek a judicious layout, without interference between cranes;
equip cranes with anti-collision devices and test them.
