9. Means of prevention

General precautions are as follows:

  • Verification every 12 months for GME cranes;

  • GMA cranes are checked every 6 months;

  • check that the equipment is in good working order by carrying out a thorough maintenance check every 5 years, recording all maintenance operations carried out in a special logbook.

To avoid risks due to the presence of other cranes:

  • seek a judicious layout, without interference between cranes;

  • equip cranes with anti-collision devices and test them.
