7. Tower crane risks

The risks encountered are as follows:

  • risks linked to the presence of other cranes (collision risks due to interference, risks linked to overlapping of the crane action zone) ;

  • risks associated with access to the driver's cab (risk of falling, risk of discomfort due to the physical effort required to climb);

  • weather-related risks (risk of tower cranes tipping over in strong winds);

  • risks associated with site effects (risk of crane overturning or rotation due to local wind disturbance from buildings close to the crane).
