 INTRODUCTION

Many companies in the agri-food sector have long since put in place the procedures needed to ensure the traceability of the products they manufacture.

In the majority of cases, quality assurance records are kept on paper. Even if the systems in place enable us to achieve our objectives, there is still considerable room for improvement in terms of reliability.

Increasingly stringent regulations and the need to meet customer requirements are prompting quality managers to study the possibilities of traceability information.

The Qualiboo software package (software + data acquisition system) was created to meet their needs.

After reviewing the key points of European regulations on traceability, we'll look at the main obstacles to computerization, and then show how this system can overcome these difficulties.
