4. From functional validation to test program
It has been indicated that functional test vectors can be used during the end-of-production test (for the whole test, in conjunction with structural test vectors, or to complete the test by sorting according to maximum operating frequency). In order to gain efficiency and reduce total development time, it is therefore important to plan the test right from the determination of the functional stimuli used to validate the architectural and logic design of the circuit. The aim of this section is to indicate the main points to be taken into account to enable functional validation sequences to be easily reused within the test framework.
