6. Impact control

Impact control will only be considered as a second approach, once it has been demonstrated that removal of the source of pollution (partial or total) is not possible.

6.1 Impact delimitation

Once the source of pollution has been identified, its impact on all environmental media must be assessed:

  • precise extent of the pollution source's impact (horizontal, vertical, high water, low water, soil heterogeneity, preferential path);
