13. Checking the effectiveness of management measures – role of the inspection body

The control of rehabilitation operations and construction measures, carried out by a body independent of the construction companies, will focus on the objectives of the management plan, for example :

  • residual concentration measurements :

    • in contaminated environments (soil: bottom and sides of excavation, groundwater),

    • in exposure routes (air in buildings, soil gases, groundwater);

  • nature and analysis of backfill ;

  • nature and analysis of arable land brought in (possibly for subsurface soils) ;

  • verification of the nature and quantities of products disposed of (waste nomenclature, waste tracking slips (BSD), etc.);
