1. Operational requirements
According to the decree of December 17, 2015, a remotely piloted aircraft is an aircraft that circulates without a person on board under the control of a remote pilot who controls its evolutions, either manually or, when the aircraft evolves in an automatic manner, by monitoring the trajectory and remaining in a position at all times to intervene on this trajectory to ensure safety. A remotely piloted aircraft evolves under "manual" control when its trajectory results at any moment from a remote pilot's commands transmitted in real time; "automatically" when its flight evolution has been programmed before or during the flight and the flight takes place without the intervention of a remote pilot; "autonomously" when it evolves automatically and no remote pilot is able to intervene on its trajectory.
