2.1 Description of airspace structure

Airspace is structured into several classes, identified by the letters A to G . As illustrated in figure 1 , classes A to D are controlled and, as radio contact is mandatory to fly in them, air traffic controllers have complete awareness of the traffic in them, at all times.
