9. Seveso III Directive

The provisions of the Seveso II Directive were based on the Dangerous Substances and Dangerous Preparations Directives. The Seveso III Directive has updated the regulatory references based on the provisions of the CLP regulation. It should be noted that while the UN's Globally Harmonized System only provides recommendations, the CLP Regulation on the classification, labeling and packaging of substances and mixtures is mandatory and directly applicable.
