2. LED lighting system components

An LED lighting device is a complex assembly of different sub-assemblies that can be treated independently, from the junction, which constitutes the light source, to the electronic ballast (also improperly called driver), via the optics and the implementation of these assemblies, taking particular account of thermal aspects. Figure 4 shows a schematic diagram of these components.
