3. Health impacts of LED light
Whenever a new technology is introduced to the general public, it's only reasonable to ask whether it poses any danger to public health. The potential impact of lamp technologies on health and the environment was debated in Europe when the directive banning incandescent lamps was introduced. These effects are potentially due to the radiation emitted by the system. However, as all independent studies have shown, these impacts are low, even negligible, if the lamps are used normally. In the following paragraphs, we briefly outline the main questions raised by the general public, and provide the appropriate answers.
