dimmable
Commonly used Anglicism designating the luminous intensity variation capacity of a luminaire. This depends directly on the electronic design of the ballast.
flickering
Flickering of the light induced by absent or inadequate filtering of the ballast at the mains frequency or one of its harmonics. Flickering may or may not be perceptible to the human eye, and can have consequences for well-being and health.
Li-Fi (Light Fidelity, analogous to Wi-Fi for Wireless Fidelity)
Wireless communication technology based on the use of LED light to transmit digital data. Faster, greener and safer than Wi-Fi, Li-Fi uses the optical spectrum.
