1. Finish

Print finishing is a broad enough term to adequately describe post-press activity. In fact, in the world of publishing (commercial printing), the word "finishing" also implies binding, which will not be dealt with here at all. In this case, we can also speak of finishing.

Another term is "completion", which is often used in the wine label market, for example.

In the end, we'll use the term finishing, which is both generic and clear enough to encompass all post-printing activity.

As printing processes reach their peak, finishing techniques provide the extra element to achieve the desired surface effect
