1.1 Product description

Wines are classified into different categories: wines without geographical indication (VSIG), or with geographical indication (GI), which are divided into two sub-groups, wines with protected designation of origin (PDO) or with protected geographical indication (PGI). There are also vins de France made from blends of wines from different French regions, vins de cépages produced from a single grape variety, and vins d'assemblage which include in their specifications the indicated grape varieties and their respective percentages.
