agroecology

Agricultural production methods that respect the environment. Agroecology reintroduces diversity into agricultural production systems and restores a diversified landscape mosaic.

agrofuel (or biofuel)

A fuel (liquid or gaseous) produced from non-fossil organic materials derived from biomass, which complements or replaces fossil fuels. Biofuels are considered a renewable energy source. Their combustion produces only CO 2 and water vapor and little or no nitrogen and sulfur oxides (NOx, SOx).
