11. Raising employee awareness
Employee behavior plays an important role in improving waste management and water consumption. Since saving water is first and foremost a matter of common sense, it's essential to raise awareness among all those involved. This means motivating all operators or, better still, training them and ensuring their full cooperation. From now on, effluents must be considered by all as an integral part of pollution.
Raising staff awareness is an important factor, but is not always easy to achieve, especially when dealing with seasonal employees. Supervisory staff themselves are sometimes not sufficiently attentive to this problem; however, their role is to ensure constant monitoring in this area.
