5.1 Test organizations
Test organizations are indispensable, their main mission being to prove that rolling stock complies with normative requirements, by means of line or track tests. Naturally, these tests are prepared and carried out in collaboration with the manufacturer, in line with his homologation strategy. In France, two testing organizations have this expertise at their disposal: Agence d'essai ferroviaire (AEF) and DB Systemtechnik.
