7. Noise reduction

Noise on an industrial site often comes from a number of different sources. There are many ways to control noise, but every noise problem is different. Many attempts to reduce noise from industrial sites have failed, because the problem was not properly identified at the outset and inappropriate control measures were taken.

7.1 Reducing noise at source

The most effective way to reduce noise is generally to avoid generating it when using a machine or during foundry operations. Unfortunately, this is often not feasible.
