9. XML Sitemap file
The final point to consider when implementing a SEO strategy is the creation of XML Sitemap files. The concept is extremely simple: you create an XML file containing a list of the pages on your site, plus certain information about each page (update frequency, crawl priority, etc.). Upload this file to your server. You notify search engines of its presence (we'll see how). The search engine robots then come and read it, taking into account the data it contains to index your site more thoroughly and exhaustively. But your file must be well created, well submitted and well placed on your site.
Note, however, that :
the use of a Sitemap is in no way a guarantee that the search engine will index ALL the pages described therein. The search engine remains in control of the way it indexes sites. But using such a file logically...
