1.1 Overview of printed circuit board technology

Let's start by recalling that the printed circuit board was originally a European product invented by Dr. P. Eisler. Since the first circuit was manufactured in Great Britain in 1942, the printed circuit board industry in Europe has grown to employ some 50,000 people in 1,000 companies, including 400 manufacturing plants .
