2.1 Performance criteria
The performance or specifications will interact with the PCB manufacturing processes and must be considered in conjunction with the input data.
The application will generally quickly identify three levels of manufacturing requirements directly related to the design rules:
standard printed circuit boards using conventional processes ;
advanced printed circuit board with additional quality controls ;
prototype printed circuit boards at the limit of their "capability", requiring a review, with an expected increase in manufacturing times and a drop in yields.
