
2. Materials suitable for processing
2.1 Floors
The soil classes defined by the GTR guide are as follows (cf. ) :
A: fine soils ;
B: sandy and gravelly soils with fines ;
C: soils containing fines and coarse elements ;
D: water-insensitive soils.
Treatment is indicated for most Class A, B and C soils, under certain conditions (removal of large elements). Class D soils may require treatment with hydraulic binders for use as subgrade.
