Lime and hydraulic binder dust emitted during treatment work causes nuisance, which must be limited by taking site measures, as cited by GTS.
Works contracts include specific clauses concerning these execution provisions.
Examples of treatment work in highly sensitive areas have multiplied with the construction of new TGV lines, adjacent to sections of freeway in service (or sometimes vice versa). These sites are subject to special treatment methods adapted to their restrictive configuration.
Improved environmental protection is also taken into account through the development of equipment, and the possibility of using special treatment products such as the "heavy" limes mentioned above in the most critical cases.
