1. Scope of verification

Acceptance tests are carried out on specific operating points of the machine. The points to be checked must be defined contractually between the customer and the supplier prior to the tests.

The quantities to be checked may be defined explicitly in the specifications, or implicitly by reference to standards in which they are specified. They can be classified into various categories.

  • Hydraulic and energy quantities

    • Flow rate and total head supplied by the pump at a given operating point.

      The curve of head versus pump flow will determine the hydraulic operating point of the system, based on the hydraulic characteristics of the load circuit.

      Standards tend to replace the notion of height or pressure with hydraulic mass...
