3. Measuring equipment management software
With the rise of IT in every company, and the various measuring instrument management software packages on the market today, it's easy to be tempted to buy one.
You need to be very careful before making a decision, because not all of them meet the needs of metrologists, and their real cost does not easily pay for itself. We won't mention any of them here, merely providing a few points of reference.
First of all, you need to be sure that the choice is economically viable, and that the size of the fleet justifies it. A filing cabinet with cardboard sheets may seem archaic, but computers don't do everything, and we rely on them a little too much, not to mention the limitations of software.
