To ensure the efficient and effective operation of a fleet of measuring equipment, there is one important point on which we must remain uncompromising: the team responsible for the maintenance and metrology of this fleet must be involved, along with the users, in the choice of equipment required for their activities.
Indeed, how many choices, made under the influence of attractive advertising or a particularly persuasive sales engineer, have subsequently turned out to be very costly to maintain, or worse, unsuited to the real need.
To avoid these pitfalls, it's a good idea to set up a team of engineers and/or technicians whose job it will be to deal with users' requests and help them make the right choice of equipment, taking into account parameters that are not specific to their case.
