8. Conclusion

All the functions presented in this dossier contribute to the creation of a fleet of high-quality measuring equipment well suited to the company's activity.

The choice of a centralized organization, where possible, enables us to maintain a consistent procurement policy, and to react quickly to suppliers or maintenance companies in the event of problems.

Clearly, this centralized organization must not be perceived as too burdensome by users, which is why the metrology function needs to be increasingly available to deal with problems linked to measurement processes, and not just to manage equipment, including calibration and/or verification services.

The choice of on-site verification (subcontracted or not) enables the metrology function to play its role of providing technical assistance to users.
