3. Electronic packaging line management

3.1 General case

In all major installations, the conveyors are controlled by electronic systems that manage everything from the speeds of the various conveyor sections, to the orientation or routing of bottles through flow dividers, to the routing to case packers or shrink-wrappers.

On each 10 or 20 m section, several segments of a few meters are required to regulate the feed speeds of the full bottles.

The accumulators and the different conveyor lanes can be used to regulate production in the event of an incident on one of the machines - the filler or labeler upstream, or the packer and shrink-wrapper downstream.

All machines, conveyors and the entire packaging line are therefore controlled by a fully-integrated...
