5. Conclusion

The revised standard has been developed in accordance with ISO's framework structure. The aim of this framework structure is to improve consistency between ISO management system standards. This version should enable an organization to use the process approach, combined with the PDCA cycle and risk/opportunity-based thinking, to align or integrate its own food safety management system approach with the requirements of other management systems and related standards.
