1. Zeroing methods

There are a number of potentiometric bridges or voltage division methods which enable DC voltage measurements to be carried out with very good accuracy. These devices are described in the Zeroing methods in DC, to which we recommend the reader to refer. We will only recall its principles.

1.1 Potentiometer

The potentiometer compares two potential differences by contrasting them with the voltage drops produced by the same current in two resistors (figure 1 ).
