  • The rms value V f of the vibration velocity is the reference quantity for rotating machines with a frequency of rotation between 10 and 200 s -1 (NF E 90-300, May 1978). Measurements of V f carried out on machine bearing caps are planned within the limits 0.28 < V f (mm.s -1 ) < 45 and for frequencies 10 < f (Hz) < 1,000.
