
3. Industrial accelerometers
3.1 Measurement range
The typical measurement range of the various types of industrial accelerometers is shown in table 2 . It should be noted that not all types of transducer are able to measure the static component – but this is not a disadvantage, as it dispenses with the need to compensate for gravity, which is necessary when measuring low levels of acceleration.
