2.1 Measurement chain
The most traditional purpose of acoustic measurement is to obtain the sound pressure level generated by an acoustic phenomenon. This assessment can be made for the signal considered in its entire spectral range (linear measurement), or after subjecting the phenomenon to a weighting that alters its initial spectrum.
