1. Main program format IEC 61499
In IEC 61499 programs, IEC 61499 function blocks are distributed among the resources of a project. The inputs and outputs of these distributed function blocks are connected by links. These links are created automatically. Inputs and outputs between function blocks must respect data types. For IEC 61499 function blocks, identifiers can only be literals or equivalent words.
Insertion of an IEC 61499 basic function block or an IEC 61499 composite function block into a program is permitted by declaring an instance of the block in the dictionary.
