INTRODUCTION
Programming languages for automated systems are described in two complementary standards:
IEC 61131-3 is described in article [S 8 030v2] ;
IEC 61499 is described in this article.
The IEC 61499 standard is a method for distributing individual IEC 61499 function blocks defined for an IEC 61499 program across multiple resources. Standard IEC 61499 function blocks are available with the IEC 61499 library.
In an IEC 61499 project, programs can be created in which IEC 61499 basic function blocks and IEC 61499 composite function blocks are inserted.
The implementation of IEC 61499 in ISaGRAF is based on IEC 61499-1 and IEC 61499-2.
