7. Maintenance

As with all rolling stock, a distinction is made between preventive maintenance and corrective maintenance resulting from damage. Preventive maintenance can be broken down into routine and periodic maintenance.

7.1 Ongoing maintenance

It includes daily maintenance, or each visit to the maintenance center (depot, as it used to be called), between two missions:

  • checking oil and water levels ;

  • cleaning and leak detection ;

  • cleaning or replacing filters (air, oil, diesel) ;

  • checking injectors, compression pressure, etc.
