ABSTRACT

The new generations of biochip systems, the dynamic biochips, allow access to the kinetics of biomolecular interactions and will in the future revolutionize their characterizations. These systems have applications in research and are additionally a routine tool for the identification of molecular signatures. At the moment, the method of choice is based upon surface plasmon resonance imagery techniques. As the use of biochips is easy and reliable, they have become an important tool for the generalized analysis of molecules of small quantities; both in real-time and at low-cost.

 INTRODUCTION

A new generation of biochip systems, dynamic biochips provide access to the kinetics of biomolecular interactions (figure 1 ) and should revolutionize their characterization. These systems can be used both in research and as a routine tool for identifying molecular signatures. The method of choice is currently based on surface plasmon resonance imaging techniques.
