5. Critical feedback on Lean Startup
For several years now, Lean Startup has been used not only by start-ups, but also by major corporations. While the approach has proven its virtues, particularly in the Internet sector, there are many criticisms to be made.
First of all, Lean Startup probably gives too much importance to customers in the decision-making process for defining the solution. This criticism echoes a famous phrase by Henry Ford, industrialist of the first half of the 20th century and founder of the Ford car company: "If I had asked people what they wanted, they would have said faster horses". So, while we must listen to our customers to better understand their needs and propose effective solutions, we must not put creativity and inventive vision to one side, as the Lean Startup approach does to some extent.
