At a time when the Group's French subsidiary had to take into account and integrate the various components of the strategic plan in a significantly changed context, a survey on employee commitment and the exercise of leadership had been commissioned by the Group for all its subsidiaries worldwide. Carried out at the end of 2012, it showed that the results for the French subsidiary were extremely poor on both counts. The Chairman was at a loss to understand these results, despite the fact that he had initiated changes in team leadership to move away from the authoritarian management of his predecessor. Called to order by the Group, he had to change the culture of the French subsidiary to develop employee commitment and the leadership skills of directors and managers, in order to successfully implement the strategic plan, and in particular the launch and marketing of the new product range....
