5.1 Limiting the use of material resources and travel
Without going back over the previous examples, we can highlight two major families of actions where the use of augmented reality will bring innovation in the more sustainable development sector: saving materials and limiting travel.
Limiting travel is easy to understand. Remote design reviews, virtual demonstrations of machines at international trade fairs, or training courses for people at their place of work are just a few examples of how technology can help to avoid the need for people or objects to travel.
