réaction eutectoïde; eutectoid reaction or eutectoid decomposition
Solid-state transformation: on cooling, and assuming equilibrium is reached, the eutectoid compound (or alloy with eutectoid composition) is transformed at a given temperature into several phases of different compositions.
martensitic transformation; transformation martensitique
Solid-state phase transformation during shear cooling, without diffusion; the resulting structure is generally acicular.
bainitic transformation; bainitic transformation
Solid-state phase transformation during cooling, involving both shear and diffusion of certain alloying elements.
