1. Applications in the chemical industry

1.1 General

Electroless nickel plating is widely used in the chemical industry.

In many cases, expensive materials that failed to deliver fully satisfactory and reliable results were replaced by materials that, when combined with electroless nickel, proved to be more efficient and less expensive.

In order to keep pace with its continuous growth, the chemical industry has long sought to reduce its storage – manufacturing – transport costs. This search has led to an expansion in the demand for electroless nickel.

Setting standards (cf. ) has made it possible to increase performance reliability for building materials.
