7. Parts inspection

The consistency of the quality obtained is ensured by compliance with a certain number of requirements adapted to the conditions of use of the parts.

7.1 Material and process controls

These operations must include the following steps:

  • chemical and physical testing of alloys and metallic materials ;

  • control of molding and core materials ;

  • dimensional verification of part models ;

  • manufacturing process control ;

  • pre-casting quality control of the resulting metal.
