3. Dry hair

3.1 Causes

Dry hair is the result of low sebaceous secretion. The cause may be intrinsic or exogenous. Bathing, styling practices such as crimping and curling, over-detergent shampoos, coloring and bleaching, and blow-drying hair too hot are all causes.
