Refers to the quantity of an active ingredient that reaches the general circulation and the speed at which it does so.
Pharmacopoeia
This regulatory document defines the purity criteria for raw materials, preparations, containers and finished products used in the manufacture of medicines for human or veterinary use, as well as the analytical methods to be used to control them. These texts, grouped together in the form of monographs, are authoritative for all substances and formulas listed in the Pharmacopoeia, and constitute an enforceable reference that is regularly updated.
