6. CAD tools

To be feasible, the integration of test devices must not significantly penalize time-to-market. The availability of well-adapted computer-aided design (CAD) tools is therefore essential to reduce development time.

It is not possible to give a complete overview of the CAD offering here. Indeed, such an overview would quickly become obsolete, given the very rapid evolution of both techniques and the companies marketing the tools. Instead, the aim of this section is to identify the main types of tools on the market in 2021.
