1.1 Statocompensator
An industrial network equipped with a static compensation system based on thyristors, commonly known as a reactive energy compensator (CER) or static reactive power compensator (CSPR), in English Static VAR Compensator (SVC), can be represented by the diagram in figure 1 . This simplified representation makes it possible to distinguish between all the disturbance loads, including the capacitor bank (harmonic filters) and the regulator, consisting of the absorber alone, and the thyristor-controlled reactance.
