3. Standards for structural panels
3.1 Features
All wood-based panels used in construction must comply with NF EN 13986 + A1 May 2015 – Wood-based panels for construction – Characteristics, conformity assessment and marking. They are presented either as straight-edged panels, or as machined slabs on two or four edges ready for use. For machined panels, the dimensions to be taken into account are those of the visible element after installation (useful format). They can be rough, sanded or coated.
Their mechanical characteristics are defined by :
